Address capture is a critical part of many software applications dealing with
the public. Unfortunately, it is also prone to keying errors meaning that high return rates on posted
items need to be contended with.
Now you can add true "as you type" validation and checking of address into applications. This includes not
just the scanning of exact matches, but also close too matches to handle spelling mistakes.
Country level maps can be used to graphically show the address being entered; great for encouraging
conversation with the customer as well as providing visual cues to the operator.
The fast query response from the Global Data Server ensures that even with large numbers of users, performance
remains high.
Owing to the specific requirements of realtime address validation, the SQL engine in Global Data Server
includes indexing and retrieval techniques designed purely for this purpose.
Realtime address validation is also possible in Web Pages, with just a couple of lines
of javascript being added to the Web Page.
Even in the web page, true "as you type" validation is performed using AJAX technologies, without requiring
browser plugins.
Global Data Server does not include the Postal Authority data files in the distribution. Use of
this reference data requires seperate licensing direct from the postal authority in question.
